Since July 2025, the ecological bonus has been replaced by Energy Savings Certificates (CEE) for EV purchases. This aid is directly deducted from the price of Renault electric cars.
Coup de Pouce incentive amounts for Renault EVs:
€4,240 for households with RFR/part ≤ €16,300 (deciles 1–5)
€4,240 for deciles 6–8 depending on household composition
€3,100 for deciles 9–10 (RFR/part > €26,200)
All Renault EVs made in Europe and meeting the eco-score are eligible. Dealers apply the discount directly.
Social Leasing 2025: Access Renault EVs at Reduced Prices
Social leasing returns in September 2025, allowing low-income households to access Renault EVs at exceptional prices. The program offers 37-month leases with 10,000 km/year and no down payment.
Eligibility: income < €15,400/tax share, commute > 15 km or 8,000 km/year for work. Renault supports the program with three models made in France.
Operating Costs: The Real Budget of a Renault EV
The real savings of a Renault EV go beyond the purchase price. With average consumption between 15 and 17 kWh/100 km, the E-Tech range transforms your mobility budget. The Renault 5 E-Tech, with just 14.9 kWh/100 km, costs only €3 per 100 km when charging at home. Even at public stations, it’s just €6 — half the cost of a gasoline fill-up.
This energy efficiency spans the range, with slight variations:
Renault 4 E-Tech: €3.10/100 km at home
Megane E-Tech: €3.20/100 km despite 220 hp
Scenic E-Tech: €3.60/100 km with 87 kWh battery
Compare that to €12–15 for a thermal SUV over the same distance.Maintenance is minimal: no oil changes, just an annual check-up (€150–200 vs. €400 for gas cars). Brake pads last 3x longer thanks to regenerative braking. Add the 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, and the math is clear.Typical monthly budget for a Renault 5 E-Tech in lease-to-own: €320 all-inclusive — €200 lease, €40 charging for 1,000 km, €65 insurance, €15 maintenance. Compared to €480/month for a gas-powered Clio, EVs save nearly €2,000/year.
Comparison: Renault E-Tech vs. Competitors
Renault leads the electric city car segment with aggressive pricing. The Renault 5 E-Tech at €24,990 beats the Peugeot e-208 (€33,100) and Opel Corsa-e (€32,500) — a €8,000+ difference. For tight budgets, used Zoe (€7,000–18,000) remains unbeatable.
In the compact segment, pricing is tighter. Megane E-Tech (€39,500) is slightly above VW ID.3 (€37,990) and Cupra Born (€36,870), but offers 468 km range and OpenR Link tech — a winning bet based on sales.
Scenic E-Tech competes in the family SUV EV space. At €41,990, it sits between Skoda Enyaq (€38,990) and VW ID.4 (€42,990). But Scenic wins on price-to-range ratio: 620 km WLTP in Long Range version beats all rivals.
